Parish Hall Secures Funds for Kitchen Refurbishment

Press Release

East Worlington Parish Hall is awarded a £14,572.50 grant from Devon Community Foundation Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm Community Fund

Devon Community Foundation has awarded a grant of £14,572.50 from the Batsworthy Cross Wind Farm Community Fund to support the refurbishment of the kitchen at East Worlington Parish Hall.

East Worlington Parish Hall is the only community facility within the parish of East Worlington and serves the local community including those living beyond the immediate parish. The Hall enables activities which bring people together, reduce isolation and support the well-being of the community. Many of the activities benefit from catering and with better facilities we can provide a wider range of activities and services.

Steve Baber, Chair of East Worlington Parish Hall Trustees said: “The grant is brilliant news and provides essential support to enable us to provide the facilities required by our community. This grant will make a huge difference to our community. Our thanks go to Devon Community Foundation.”

Laura Hewitt from DCF added “We are delighted to be able to support this fantastic group. It is groups like this working on the frontline that are so essential to our communities. It’s what makes DCF so important to ensure that together with donors and local groups we can build strong and vibrant communities for everyone in Devon, both now and for the future.”
