Martin created an internet account with Heart Internet and registered the domain name ewph.uk for use by the Parish Hall Heritage project. The new web site will be configured over the next few weeks using the services of Rick Westhorpe. It will use the WordPress Content Management System allowing members of the community to edit pages and upload content such as photos and videos: the web site can be found at www.ewph.uk.

Building Project Team Meeting

Richard Boxall (Chartered Building Surveyor) (Building Project Team Leader), Martin and Steve met with Richard See (Contractor) and discussed the project plan and programme of work. The current plan will now be refined into a detailed work schedule. The group discussed the heating and aim to use an air source pump system.

Structural Surveyor Visit

Barry Honeysett, a Structural Engineer, is visiting the Hall today as part of our conservation project implementation plan.

Press Release and Community Event Poster Approved by HLF

Heritage Lottery Fund have approved our press release and the poster we are using to invite members of our community to our Heritage Project launch event. We aim to promote our launch from 26th January.

Digital Archive blog theme design

Martin, with input and feedback from Steve and Miya, is customising a new blog theme based on the Sora Article template. Some minor tweaks still required but will soon be ready to go live. The look and feel of the blog site will be carried over onto the design of the EWPH web site so that we have a consistent presentation format to the entire digital archive.

Heritage Project Publicity Plan

Steve worked on the Publicity Plan for the Heritage Lottery. The plan describes how the project will be publicised and who the target audiences are. The Plan will go to the Heritage Group and then on to Heritage Lottery Fund for approval.

Parish Hall Improvement Plan

The Building Improvement Team, Richard, Miya, Martin and Steve met today to discuss the next steps with the Parish Hall Improvement Plan with specific focus on the heating solution. The reports from EDP and from Timeleon were discussed. Actions were agreed.
