One of our Heritage Project supporters is local land owner Sir Hugh Stucley who owns the Affeton Estate. In support of the appreciation by the local community of our natural environment Sir Hugh offered to lead a guided walk on his estate. The walk started and finishsed at the old mill, now not in use, Affeton Mill. Throughout the walk Sir Hugh provided a very interesting and informative commentary. There was a very welcome Devonian tea on return to the Mill.
The following photographs show the members of the community on the walk.

Cob Wall and Lime Plastering Workshops
One key aspect of our Heritage Project was to learn about the skills of cob wall construction and lime plastering. Our learning was supported by Mike Wye and Associates https://www.mikewye.co.uk/ who facilitated the workshops. There were nine local people attending, including Trustees, project team members and volunteers from our community.
